  The short version: Loftie Focus stores all your data locally in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

 Who we are

  Loftie Focus is a browser extension built by Loftie, Inc., a wellness technology company based in the NY, US.

 What data we collect

• We do not collect any personal information (name, email, IP address, or identifiers)
• We do not track your browsing history or the websites you visit
• We do not use cookies, analytics services, or tracking pixels
• We do not transmit any data from your device to our servers or any third party
  
• We do not have user accounts or authentication
• The extension operates entirely offline after installation

  What data is stored locally in your browser

• Your blocking schedules (time slots, active days, blocked domains, keyword categories)
• Your preferences (theme, name, wellness message tone, custom labels)
• Custom templates and keyword category modifications
• Pomodoro timer configuration (durations, blocked sites, position)
• Analytics data (block counts, streaks, per-domain statistics) — stored locally for your personal use only
• Current page meta description — temporarily stored to power the smart site suggestion feature, never transmitted

  Browser sync

• If you have your browser's built-in sync feature enabled (e.g., Chrome Sync, Firefox Sync), your schedules and settings may sync across your devices
    through your browser vendor's infrastructure
• This is a standard browser feature governed by your browser vendor's privacy policy, not ours
• We do not operate any sync servers
• Analytics data is stored in local-only storage and is never synced

  Permissions and why we need them

• declarativeNetRequest — to block websites by redirecting them to our branded blocked page
• storage — to save your schedules, settings, and analytics locally
• alarms — to trigger schedule and pomodoro timer transitions
• tabs — to detect the current tab URL for the "Block this site" and smart suggestion features
• activeTab — to read the URL of the currently active tab when you interact with the popup
• host_permissions (all URLs) — required by the blocking API to redirect any blocked website; we do not read or modify page content

 Third-party services

• Loftie Focus does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms

 Children's privacy

• Since we collect no data from anyone, there is no children's data to protect

 Data retention and deletion

• To delete all data: uninstall the extension or clear the extension's storage via your browser settings
• To export your data: use the Export feature in Settings to download a JSON backup.
• Analytics data is automatically pruned after 90 days

  Changes to this policy

• If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top
• If we ever decide to collect data in the future, we would update this policy and the extension would request new permissions, which your browser will prompt you to approve

  Your rights

• Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have rights regarding your personal data
• Since Loftie Focus does not collect any personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied
• You have full control over all data stored locally in your browser
